Ship & Sleep / Managed Operations

We run your app like money depends on it. Because it does.

Managed Operations is the ongoing contract: monitoring, backups with rehearsed restores, security patches, and fixes — under a written SLA that pays you credits when we miss it. From $149 per month, cancel monthly.

What a month of operations contains

Working hands-on on rack infrastructure

Monitoring that someone reads

Uptime checks every minute (Standard and Priority), error tracking on the paths that touch money and data, and alerts that reach a person with an obligation to respond — not a dashboard nobody opens.

Backups that are rehearsed, not assumed

Daily backups are table stakes. The difference is the restore drill: on a fixed schedule we actually recover the app from backup and document how long it took. You see the timing in your monthly report. If restoring ever stops working, we find out in a drill — not in a disaster.

Patching, verified

Security and dependency updates are applied on schedule and verified against the app's critical paths afterwards. Anything that could break payments or data gets the fail-closed treatment: proposed in writing first.

Fixes with a postmortem

Bugs are fixed within your plan's included hours. Every incident ends with a short written postmortem: what happened, why, what changed so it doesn't repeat. You can read every one — it's your app's history.

The runbook — yours from day one

Every adopted app gets a written runbook: architecture, credentials map, deploy path, known risks, recovery steps. It's handed to you at adoption, kept current, and it's what makes leaving easy: any competent engineer can pick it up. A document that makes us replaceable is exactly why clients stay.

The full service levels

Miss a committed first-response time and you receive a service credit of 10% of that month's fee per incident, capped at 50% of the month — applied automatically to the next invoice, without you having to ask. An SLA that costs the provider nothing when broken is decoration.

Coverage hours are printed here because they're real. We don't sell 24/7 response we cannot reliably staff — that refusal and the others are on the main page.

Where operations ends

We operate, stabilize, and fix. We don't build features — an operator who profits from rebuilding your app has a conflict of interest we'd rather not own. We don't take apps handling medical records, self-custodied payment data, gambling, or regulated financial services. And nothing beyond routine patching changes in your app without your written approval.

Everything runs in your accounts — hosting, domain, database, payments. A data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) is part of every contract. When you cancel — possible to the end of any month — you get the full handover: credentials returned and rotated, current runbook, open items, thirty days of questions at no charge.

Adoption starts with the Health Check.

$249 flat, credited against your first month. It tells both of us exactly what we'd be taking responsibility for.
